The unit was not clean. There was substantial black mold growing in the shower door tracks and on the tile in the showers. So much so that I had to buy bleach and other cleaners and a brush to scrub it out. I don’t expect to encounter this when I spend $3,000 for a week’s stay. The dining table was dirty; it appeared the maids never moved the place mats to wash off the table as there were crumbs and coffee spills under the mats. The kitchen floor had not been swept and there were crumbs along the floor in the corners and under the cabinets. The unit needs more seating in the living room as the unit sleeps at least 6 but there is only seating for 4. Beds were comfortable and it was nice to have beach chairs available but would have been nicer if the renter was made aware of such so I didn’t have to bring my own down in the car. The additional expense of having to purchase a badge to use the beach also was something I did not know prior to arrival. That added $160 to my expenses. As we did not use the other facilities at Sea Colony, I feel that charge is not warranted. I will go back to Ocean City next year.
