We are low-maintenance beach goers. If you need a lot of modern conveniences – central air, sleek appliances, and a flat screen TV — this isn’t the house for you. The house is large and roomy, the location fantastic, and the upper deck with the ocean view is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee. The furniture is pretty basic, the kitchen is outdated, and there’s only a small somewhat old basic TV in the living room. Honestly, we didn’t really expect too much more for the price so close to the ocean! However, as the previous reviewer stated, I do expect a weekly rental property to be well cleaned. Cobwebs, spiders and dust bunnies abound. Whoever the cleaning company is that you are using should be let go and replaced with one that understands the need to look up when they clean. As it was, my family and I spent an extra 45 minutes ridding the place of cobwebs and things with more than 4 legs. It’s an older house – so I don’t expect it to be bug free – but seriously – it was clear whoever cleaned didn’t want to be bothered. It’s the only thing that keeps the place from earning 5 stars in my book. Otherwise, I love the fact that it’s a gracious old beach house that seems to be stuck in a simpler time!!!
