Wall to wall carpet was covered in large and small pet urine stains – carpets did not appear to have been steam cleaned in years. I was promised they would be steam cleaned prior to this summer season. They clearly were not – they need to be replaced. Slider doors were difficult to open with one missing a screen and others had taped up holes. Bathroom floors and walls were dirty upon arrival with no bath rugs provided – I purchased some and left them behind as a gift to the next renter. Bedding/pillows were inadequate. Missing closet door in primary bedroom. Pots and pans were in poor/worn out condition. Outside grill was old, dirty and difficult to operate. The North unit’s electric garage door operating system was extremely noisy which was directly under our living room – we heard it annoyingly open and close at least twenty times day and night. Many light bulbs were missing from fixtures including the main fixture in second floor foyer which was too high to reach without a 10ft ladder so that stairway area was dark at night. Overall, the house was clearly given very little, if any, attention before our arrival for our three-week vacation with our family. We have rented pet friendly houses before and never had this experience.
