Elise Vernick Potomac, MD –

This place has spectacular direct ocean front views. Loved sitting on the balcony and listening to the ocean and lovely live music from 4:00 – 7:00pm. It’s quiet and the guests are pleasant. The amenities were great! When the four elevators work, the place runs like a charm.

The unit while updated needs some tlc as there were several issues we experienced such as the rusting of the living room door handle. Most frustrating was being locked in the unit because the top lock was broken. This was a known issue before we stayed there. We also had to wait a few days for a replacement tv remote as it was missing.

One day the building fire alarms went off for well over an hour (they are piercing!) and another day, one of the four elevators was out of order with some poor person stuck in it for 45 minutes. It was not as carefree a time as I would have liked.

L&F tried to take care of the unit issues as they arose but, frankly, blaming guests for being locked into the unit which is a safety issue is just plain wrong.

That said, I would stay at The Plaza again.
