This awesome vacation retreat located in The Sanctuary which is one of North Bethany's private communities on the west side offering 6 bedrooms plus a loft and a den with 4 full and 1 half baths featuring a beautiful private swimming pool surrounded by elegant decking. This amazing home easily sleeps 16 and includes two kitchens (one w/out stove), 2 full size refrigerators, 7 ft dining table, gas fireplace, 5 TVs, 2 DVDs, washer/dryer, multiple decks, screen porch, Wi-Fi, gas grill, and outside shower. Escape the hustle and bustle to the spacious open concept living area with large windows throughout offering a bright and beachy decor. There is plenty of parking in the driveway and one Bethany Beach town parking permit is included; the community does not offer private beach access. Off season mini weeks are available and the pool is open Memorial Day through early November. Dog friendly with $300 pet fee.

Nice house with a few issues

"First and foremost, this is NOT a beach house with access. We were told that the beach is within walking distance of the house - - not so. It is 1.5 miles away and inconvenient at best.
House is laid out nicely across 3 floors, allowing for personal space. There are a good number of nuisance thing such as fans that don't work and a light for main ceiling that is also out. Kitchen needs some review on what tools, pots, etc. are available.
The cleaner didn't do a good job so we had to clean up lower level floor and many counters.
We liked the pool area, flow. Beds were comfortable and rooms had plenty of space.
Owner is very responsive on issues.

The location is stated in the property description as “on the west side” as well as saying “the community does not offer private beach access”. The homeowners do include at no additional cost a parking permit for beach parking in the town of Bethany. Your cleaning and maintenance comments have also been shared with the cleaning crew and the owners. Our apologies and hope to see you again next summer.

"Our family vacation was wonderful. The house is perfect for a large group. The pool is perfect to have for both our youngest (3 months, 2 toddlers and a 6 yr old) and oldest (91) guests. The owner was very responsive.

"For the past 9 years my very large family has done mini weeks in Bethany Beach. We have stayed in many rentals througout the years and this property by far was the nicest house. During our stay we were able to meet the owner and he was as nice and gracious as can be! We did not have the view of the ocean as we had for the previous years but the pool and all the comfy amenities made up for that. Thanks for an awesome stay!

"We enjoyed our stay at this house. The only thing I would suggest is window fixtures on all Windows, esp the Windows that face east and west, it gets very hot especially in the evenings.

"A group of 11 males doing their annual guy trip found this home to be perfect. It is a spectacular house with an impressive master on the third floor, a fourth floor 'nook' with a futon, a kitchenette on ground floor near the pool. The main kitchen, on the second floor is open floorplan to the living room, it is very good size and two sets of doors lead to either the pool or a screened in porch. there is a front porch too, and also one adjacent to the pool. The pool was excellent, and may have had some filter issues that by no means required immediate attention or our disdain. I noticed the master bathroom shower door leaked, and that was a hindrance, which is why I didnt give 5 stars. I had to soak up the water on the floor with my own bath towel. Also, the master bathroom window had no covering at all, making sitting on the toilet embarassing for me, or taking showers at night. Two zone air-conditioning worked flawlessly. Truly a great home on a quiet cul de sac right next to the water tower, which we used as a landmark to guide people. All interaction with LFV went fine, except it really pissed me off they wouldn't give us the key early, about two hrs. What the hell is the difference already?! $3,000 of business and you can't spare two freakin hours?! JEEESH. And I don't care about 'policy'. There's no sense to it at all except the power trip. We were parked in the home's driveway for 2+hrs so it wasn't because cleaners need their time.
